The firm recently renovated a country home in Treviso, Italy by not only adding a new glass and steel extension to the home, but by covering its exterior walls almost entirely with\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/inhabitat.com\/tag\/vertical-gardens\/\">lush vegetation<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.elinare.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/ZanonArchitettiAssociati3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-5002 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/www.elinare.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/ZanonArchitettiAssociati3-e1509957409783.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"478\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/inhabitat.com\/tag\/home-renovation\/\">renovation<\/a>\u00a0of the 1,500 square-foot home was focused on blending the new addition into the home\u2019s existing structure, without taking away from its original character. Accordingly, the architects used a combination of glass and steel to create a seamless connection between the home\u2019s expansive living space and its idyllic surroundings.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.elinare.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/ZanonArchitettiAssociati7.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-4994 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/www.elinare.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/ZanonArchitettiAssociati7-e1509957115385.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"601\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFrom the outside, the glass volume reflects the surrounding landscape and becomes part of it,\u201d the architects said. \u201cFrom the inside the windows become invisible giving the impression of being outdoors: the living room becomes one with the countryside.\u201dThe interior of the home is an eclectic design that is perfect for both quiet contemplation or lively socialization.The ceilings are covered in weathered steel panels that give off an industrial look, which is enhanced by the brick-tiled flooring.
